SpaceCraft Adventures are creative play experiences that adults can also enjoy with their kids.

How do SpaceCraft Adventure Missions work?

SpaceCraft Adventure Missions are a series of art, craft and play based activities that spark kids imaginations and inspire self directed play. Kids become space explorers who need to complete a series of interlinked important creative space missions.

The mission briefs are sent digitally from a character at SpaceCraft HQ, so kids get involved in an imaginative storyline in real time. They are sent via the parent so that they can control the pace. The fun way they are delivered also helps give adults an entry point for play with their kids.

When each mission is complete, parents send a photo or video of the artwork or creation back to SpaceCraft HQ as evidence of the mission being accomplished.

All projects encourage resourcefulness and the use of recycled materials, it’s about looking differently at the things that are already around the house.

Who does it suit?

Best suited for kids aged 3 to 8, the projects are personalised to each child’s capabilities and interests. SpaceCraft projects aim to direct kids to activities that help them find the spark that leads to them coming up with their own self directed projects.

What do I need?

  • Basic craft supplies – Sticky tape, scissors, coloured pens or pencils and any other craft materials you already have.

  • Household recycled items – Cardboard boxes, toilet paper rolls, egg cartons – anything safe and clean that you are throwing away!

  • Let us know about any other things your child enjoys using that could be incorporated into creative briefs.

Birthday parties and events

SpaceCraft originally began life as a mobile crafting station laden with recycled craft supplies that was available for birthday parties and events. We hope to do this again once isolation restrictions allow.
